Total capital expenditures by businesses and governments on non-residential tangible capital assets are expected to increase by 5.5% to reach $388.6 billion in 2025.

Aircraft movement and civil aviation statistics, December 2024
In December, Canada’s major and select small airports recorded a total of 351,072 aircraft movements, down slightly (-0.4%) from December 2023. Itinerant movements decreased 1.0% year over year in December 2024, while local movements rose 1.3%.
Railway carloadings, December 2024
Canadian railways transported 31.4 million tonnes of freight in December, down slightly (-0.8%) from December 2023.

Annual Mineral Production Survey, 2023
Mineral production estimates from the Annual Mineral Production Survey are now available for the 2023 reference year. These data are published together with the 2024 preliminary estimates of mineral production in Canada.
Wholesale trade: Early indicator, January 2025
Statistics Canada is providing an advance estimate of sales in the wholesale trade sector for January. The advance results for January indicate that wholesale sales (excluding petroleum, petroleum products, and other hydrocarbons and excluding oilseed and grain) rose 1.8%. The increase partly reflects higher sales in the motor vehicle and motor vehicle parts and accessories subsector.
