Canadian international merchandise trade, December 2023
In December, Canada’s merchandise exports decreased 1.9%, while imports edged up 0.2%. As a result, Canada’s merchandise trade balance went from a surplus of $1.1 billion in November to a deficit of $312 million in December.
Canadian international trade in services, December 2023
Canada’s monthly international trade in services deficit narrowed from $0.9 billion in November to $0.7 billion in December. Overall, exports of services increased 1.3% to $16.9 billion, while imports of services were up 0.3% to $17.6 billion.
Retail Commodity Survey, November 2023
Monthly data from the Retail Commodity Survey are now available for November. The survey collects detailed information about retail commodity sales in Canada to produce estimates of the distribution of sales of various commodities at the national level.

Dental insurance coverage, 2022
Today, Statistics Canada is releasing data on the number of Canadians who have insurance that covers dental care as well as the number who have had a recent visit with a dental professional. The data are available in two tables using results from the 2022 cycle of the Canadian Community Health Survey.
