Consumer Price Index, February 2020
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 2.2% on a year-over-year basis in February, down from a 2.4% increase in January. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, the CPI was up 0.1% in February, matching the increase in January.
Impact of COVID-19 on Statistics Canada publishing activities
In the context of the rapidly-evolving situation around the novel coronavirus (also known as COVID-19), Statistics Canada remains committed to providing Canadians with the information they need. The agency plans to continue releasing data from programs identified as ‘mission-critical’ to the proper functioning of the Government of Canada, and to the Canadian economy and society. All other data releases will be postponed until further notice.
