The Indigenous Summer Student Program (ISSP) is recruiting firms and organizations to participate in the 2024–2025 summer student cycle. The Law Society works with law firms, organizations and law schools across Canada to connect prospective employers with first (1L) and second year (2L) Indigenous law students.
Over the past several years, this program has received ongoing support from many law firms as well as government and other organizations resulting in employment opportunities for 1L and 2L Indigenous law students. The Law Society does not have a role in the hiring process or the employment relationship, however, we will provide ongoing support and education to participating students, firms and organizations.

To learn more about the Indigenous Summer Student Program, visit the Law Society website. Firms and organizations that are interested in participating can review the criteria for program and submit an application. We encourage you to submit your applications as soon as possible, and to reach out to the Program Coordinator if you have any questions.
We welcome your feedback, applications and questions as we look forward to having new firms and organizations join our program. Without your valued support, we would not be able to offer this resource to Indigenous law students.
