EDF and First Nations partners have jointly submitted an application for a wind energy facility north of the city.

THUNDER BAY — The fate of an application to establish a wind farm on Crown land north of Thunder Bay could be known as early as next week.

Newswatch has learned that renewable energy developer EDF has partnered with two area First Nations to propose a 35-unit wind energy facility about 30 kilometres from the city, at a site mostly east of Jacques Township.
