Activating the First Nations forest through FPIC: Supply, Markets, and Investment

Press Releases

First Nations now rank 4th globally as an exclusive fibre basket, holding twenty-seven (27) million cubic metres of annual allowable cut. This aggregation of wood supply represents a variety of nations coming to agreement through FPIC, with federal, provincial, and territorial governments – the diamond standard of social license and corporate social responsibility. Translating these unique arrangements into responsible wealth generation now requires activating markets, attracting investment, and managing success responsibly.

Connect with wood sector industry leaders through one-on-one meetings and exclusive networking. Leading experts will provide attendees with actionable information about emerging methods to maximize revenue potential and provide insights into opportunities to fund new projects.

Centred on exploring the rapidly growing First Nations forest and wood products sector, this meeting’s focus on business models will provide valuable insight to anyone engaged in the creation or distribution of sustainable forest products. This venue provides a crash course in the ways that Aboriginal values are being monetized as well as insight into trends and opportunities that will support capital investment into the sector.
