HALIFAX. x–11s. Native leaders are meeting today in Halifax for the 35th annual general meeting of the Assembly of First Nations. Spokesman Ghislain Picard says one focus of the meeting will be discussing the impact of last month’s groundbreaking Supreme Court decision to grant aboriginal title for the first time in Canada. He says there are many opinions out there about what the ruling means.
