Press Release
New research is shedding light on Indigenous trade in the Prairies. Be part of the conversation and join CCIB’s research team for the Trade Pathways in the Prairies: Indigenous Businesses Navigating Shifting Trade Landscapes webinar, the first of two, on June 23, 2026, at 1 p.m. MDT/3 p.m. EDT.
This insightful session will explore the publication and key findings of the upcoming Trade in the Prairies report, produced in collaboration with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce’s Business Data Lab and Prairies Economic Development Canada.
Along with a stellar lineup of panellists, including Tony Quinlan from Alexander Tubular and Dana Archibald from Black Wolf Molecular Solutions, hear from speakers Ryan Dunford, Director General, Planning & Analytics, Prairies Economic Development Canada; Jasleen Trehan, Economist, Canadian Chamber of Commerce Business Data Lab and Matthew Foss, VP Research & Public Policy, CCIB.
Through an examination of data sets, methodology, and data limitations, the discussion will connect research outcomes to the real-life experiences of Indigenous businesses operating in a changing trade environment.
Participants will gain insights into the report’s findings, methodological approach, and policy implications, followed by a discussion with an Indigenous business panel.
