June 12, 2026

Canada Post’s door-to-door mail service in Kelowna, West Kelowna, and Westbank First Nation (Tsinstikeptum 10 and Tsinstikeptum 9) is set to come an end for a large majority of residents in 2027.

On Thursday, June 11, the mailing company announced 485,000 addresses across 37 Canadian communities will have their door-to-door mail service changed to community mailboxes next year, adding to the 136,000 addresses announced on April 16.

Of the nearly half a million postal codes added on Thursday, 81,000 are in British Columbia. It’s not specified how many of them are in Kelowna, West Kelowna, and Westbank First Nation, however, Canada Post stated it will be working with local governments to identify and finalize the community mailbox sites.
