Winnipeg, Manitoba, February 17, 2015 – AFOA Canada (formerly the Aboriginal Financial Officer Association of Canada) is holding its 15th Anniversary National Conference at the RBC Convention Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, from February 17 – 19, 2015. Over 900 Aboriginal leaders, senior managers and professionals will attend this forum focusing on the theme “Business Development – Capitalizing on Opportunities that Lead to Self-reliance and Economic Prosperity”

The Canadian Aboriginal Community has an opportunity to capitalize on significant business opportunities that will benefit our communities. This conference will focus on how these communities have been successful in developing business opportunities and will provide workshops on key areas that need to be considered as Aboriginal business leaders continue their journey toward economic prosperity and self-reliance.  “The content within this conference will provide our delegates with information on successful business development opportunities.   It will broaden the discourse on the balance between economic development and community well-being.   It will be thought provoking in terms of the many areas that require attention by community leaders and managerial administrators.” says Terry Goodtrack, President and CEO, AFOA Canada.
