The ANFCA is a provincial organization that represents and provides support to 20 friendship centres in urban Alberta, building wellness, equality and understanding for the province’s urban population.
Each of the friendship centres provides culturally-based programs and services that respond to the distinct needs of urban Aborginal people in their communitie, and bridges gaps between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people in urban areas.
Friendship centres provide a wide range of programming, including social, health, youth, children, employment, education, cultural and community development to centre users so they can live more successfully in urban areas.
