Appointment to The Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated

The HonourableDenis Lebel,Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs, Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec and President of the Queen’s Privy Council for Canada, today announced the appointment of Mr.Guy Martinto the board of directors of TheJacques CartierandChamplainBridges Incorporated (JCCBI) for a term of three years.
Martinhas over 40 years of experience in the transportation and roads sector, including 17 years as Director of Planning and Development at theRéseau de transport de Longueuil(RTL). As a director atRTL, he oversaw the modernization of the network’s infrastructure, including the renewal of the network’s bus fleet, new bus engineering and the expansion and renovation of garages and operation centres. Mr.Martinalso managed major metropolitan projects for theRTLin which he participated in the redesign of the Highway 132-134 interchange inLongueuiland assisted in the development and implementation of theRTLnetwork’s management systems through its first geomatic data treatment system.
Martin’s vast experience also includes planning and developing road transport studies, environmental impact studies of highway projects, traffic planning, business planning for a small commuter network, and more recently the planning of an operation centre in theChateauguayregion for Veolia.
