BE02 Captains are responsible for the safe operation of company aircraft in accordance with all applicable Transport Canada Regulations, Wasaya Company Policies and the Wasaya Airways LP Company Operations Manual.
Responsibilities
Operating and navigating aircraft
Choosing safe and efficient flight routes
Performing aircraft inspections before and after flying
Communicating with the required agencies and employees
Ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers, crew, and aircraft
Analyzing flight plans and weather conditions
Calculating fuel and managing aircraft systems
Filing mandatory paperwork and checking pre-flight documentation
Foster a healthy working environment and promote a positive climate within the workplace.
Perform and uphold Wasaya’s Customer Care Commitments to both internal and external customers.
Any other related duties as assigned
Requirements
A minimum of 2500 flight hours
Graduates from an Aviation College degree or diploma program
ATPL
CAT 1 medical
1000 hours multi crew and IFR turbine experience
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Must be able to obtain a RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card)
Must be able to travel to the US and meet TSA approval for Simulator Training
Preference given for applicants who possess a current BE02 PPC
Preference given for applicants who possess a BE02 type rating.
Preference given for applicants with Northern Gravel Operational Experience
Preference given for applicants with two crew multi-engine turbine experience
Travel is required.
Weekend and evening work required.
Hazards of the job: noise, dust, fumes etc.
Outdoor and indoor work required.
Ability to lift or move up to 70lbs.
Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.
