Britco and Kwantlen First Nation to Provide Construction Sites with Internet Connectivity

Press Releases

FORT LANGLEY, BC (June 21, 2015) – Britco and the Kwantlen First Nation are partnering to provide internet connectivity systems in Britco rental buildings.

Coast Salish Technologies, owned by Seyem’ Qwantlen Development Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kwantlen First Nation, will work with Britco to offer internet connectivity and customer support to construction sites with Britco site office buildings.

“We’re a longstanding customer of Britco’s and use their office buildings at our community on McMillian Island in Fort Langley,” said Tumia Knott, President of the Seyem’ Qwantlen Business Group and Councillor for the Kwantlen First Nation. “We’re glad that we’ve found a way to combine the strengths of our two companies – technology and building rentals.”

In addition to internet connectivity systems, Coast Salish Technologies provides leading edge tech advice from cloud computing to data security.

“Reliable internet connections have long been an issue on construction sites. We’re very pleased to be able to help our customers solve this problem, thanks to our partners, Seyem’ Qwantlen Development Ltd from Kwantlen First Nation,” said Britco’s President, Obie Erickson.

The announcement of this partnership took place on National Aboriginal Day. A day the Government of Canada recognizes as a way for all Canadians to celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Metis peoples.
