Call for Members of the Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit Katimajiit

The Minister of Culture and Heritage is looking for two elders – one from the Kivalliq and one from the Kitikmeot – to serve on the Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit Katimajiit.

The Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit Katimajiit is made up of non-governmental members who make recommendations about how Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit can be implemented throughout government and public agencies.

Members of the Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit Katimajiit are respected elders of the community, who have experience with Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit. Oral and written fluency in Inuktitut or Inuinnaqtun is essential. Members are required to attend at least six meetings per year.
