Call for Nominations for FSC Canada Board of Directions

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Canada is seeking candidates for the FSC Canada Board of Directors. Nominations are due August 1, 2014. Directors will take office in November 2014.

Just like our members, FSC Canada’s Board of Directors are fundamental to the organization providing diverse Aboriginal, economic, social and environmental interests, bringing integrity and resilience to the FSC system.

FSC Canada is seeking motivated volunteers that can bring a broad range of perspectives to provide effective oversight of the organization and govern all activities and affairs of FSC Canada.

With the expiration of terms for existing Directors there are 4 vacancies, one representative from each of the four Chambers:

Aboriginal Peoples Chamber, 1 seat
Economic Chamber, 1 seat
Environmental Chamber, 1 seat
Social Chamber, 1 seat

Clarifications
Only FSC members resident in Canada can nominate candidates to the Board of Directors and nominees must be members of FSC Canada or applicants of FSC membership to qualify.
