Financial Literacy Leader seeks applicants from a broad range of sectors

Canada’s first Financial Literacy Leader, Jane Rooney, is looking for influential people within the public, private and non-profit sector across the country to serve on the country’s first National Steering Committee on Financial Literacy. The Minister of State (Finance) will play a key role in shaping the membership of the Steering Committee.
Committee members will provide leadership and promote participation within the sectors they represent, helping to ensure effective coordination across sectors in the development and implementation of a successful National Strategy for Financial Literacy.
Interested individuals need to apply online with the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada by June 16, 2014.
