What’s happening on (and off) Parliament Hill, plus the news you need to start your day.
Not only will Prime Minister Mark Carney be in his front-and-centre seat in the House of Commons to face his opposition adversaries this afternoon, but he’s also booked in for what his office is billing as a “live address on Canada’s plan to build a stronger economy,” which, as the itinerary notes, will take place “in advance of the 2025 Budget,” which still on track to be unveiled on Nov. 4. (7:30 p.m.)
As yet, no details have been provided on either the format or the venue for the primetime event, which will nevertheless be open to the media.
