After making the rounds in Kyiv yesterday afternoon — where, as Canadian Press reports, he joined Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy at a ceremony marking the 34th anniversary of Ukraine’s declaration of independence and shared more details on how hundreds of millions of dollars in military and humanitarian assistance announced at the G7 summit in Kananaskis would be allocated — Prime Minister Mark Carney is booked in for a full day of high-level closed-door talks in Warsaw.
According to his itinerary, the first item on his official agenda will be a one-on-one chat with his Polish counterpart, Donald Tusk, during which two leaders “are expected to move forward on a strategic partnership between Canada and Poland focusing on trade, defence and energy,” according to Canadian Press.
