With the fall sitting now officially underway, MPs are set to circle back to the minority Liberal government’s proposal to overhaul Canada’s border security regime, which was introduced in June and will be back at the top of the legislative docket when the House of Commons reopens for business this morning. (10 a.m.)
They will not, however, get the chance to cross-examine Prime Minister Mark Carney about the bill — or, for that matter, anything else — until tomorrow at the earliest, as he isn’t expected to make an appearance in the chamber this afternoon, according to his daily itinerary.
