Press Release
June 28, 2018
The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) is consulting the public, Indigenous peoples and stakeholders on draft regulatory document REGDOC-2.1.1, Management System, until August 31, 2018.
This regulatory document contains supplemental information for meeting requirements set out in CSA N286-12, Management system requirements for nuclear facilities, and will also be used to provide more information on various and emerging issues in the Management System safety and control area. This regulatory document does not duplicate the generic requirements of CSA N286-12, but rather provides more specific direction for those requirements.
The CNSC regulates the use of nuclear energy and materials to protect health, safety, security and the environment; to implement Canada’s international commitments on the peaceful use of nuclear energy; and to disseminate objective scientific, technical and regulatory information to the public.
