Macdonald-Laurier Institute Managing Director Brian Lee Crowley spoke to Global News about the federal government’s newly-released proposal for breaking down internal trade barriers between the provinces.
The plan, titled One Canada, One National Economy, calls for either reforming the Agreement on Internal Trade so it liberates the flow of more goods and services within Canada or scrapping the agreement altogether and replacing it with a more effective document.
The Macdonald-Laurier Institute has for a long time underlined the agreement’s shortcomings.
Crowley said he welcomes the government’s plan to fix the document.
