A business staple of the local area is being recognized by the province’s tourism sector.
WHITECAP — A business representing both the province and Indigenous people is one of the finalists for a prestigious national award.
Dakota Dunes Resort, located on Whitecap Dakota First Nation, is one of four finalists spotlighting Indigenous tourism operators in Saskatchewan. The resort will represent the province on a national stage at the 2026 Indigenous Tourism Awards in Edmonton, Alta.
This year marks the highest number of finalists for Saskatchewan since 2018, with four finalists announced by the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada on Jan. 20:
