Monday, March 6^th:

Tuesday, March 7^th:  Policy Issues Day

• Breakfast Reception, Sir John A. Macdonald Building, 7:00 a.m.– 8:15 a.m.

• Breakfast Plenary, Sir John A. Macdonald Building,  8:20 a.m.– 9:00 a.m.

Delegate participation in four to five policy issue discussions re women’s equality, supported by policy experts and teacher facilitators from across Canada.

• Environment/Climate Change;
• International Development and Foreign Policy
• Democratic Engagement
• Reconciliation
• Science and Innovation

• Keynote Luncheon:  Sir John A Macdonald Building, 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Featuring three elected women from provinces and territories, members of the Canadian Women Parliamentarians Caucus.

• Special hearings hosted by House of Commons Standing Committee on the Status of Women Committee, Parliament of Canada (8:45am to 12:30pm and 3:30pm to 5:30pm).

Selected delegates will serve as witnesses. Watch for an email from Grace Lore about the possibility of presenting to the Committee. There will also be an opportunity for other delegates to attend morning and afternoon hearings to listen to Committee proceedings.

• Gala Dinner, Grand Hall, Canadian History Museum, 100 rue Laurier, Gatineau, 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.

Wednesday, March 8^th,  International Women’s Day

• Breakfast Reception & Presentation, National Arts Centre (NAC), 7:30 a.m.– 8:30 a.m.

• March by Daughters, MPs, Senators and other Supporters:  NAC to Centre Block, 8:45 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.

• Historic Seating of Daughters in House of Commons, Address by Speaker Regan, the Rt. Hon. Kim Campbell and all national party leaders (or designates), Centre Block, 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

• Daughters meet their Members of Parliament:  Centre Block, 12:30 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.

• Daughters attend Question Period:  Centre Block, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.

• Daughters – NAC  Event  3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

• Dinner Reception Hosted by Status of Women Canada Minister, NAC, 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

• Evening:  Opportunity for delegates to network and engage in informal small group discussion re. issues of interest

Thursday, March 9^th:  Professional Development and Leadership Workshops

• Breakfast Reception/Keynote, Sir John A MacDonald, 8:00 a.m. – 8:45 a.m.

• Leadership Workshops, Sir John A MacDonald 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
