Simon Bird to become educational administrator in Alberta
Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations Fourth Vice Chief Simon Bird is leaving the world of politics.
Vice Chief Bird has tendered his resignation, and will soon become an administrator with the Stoney Nakoda Tribal Authority’s school system. Bird will be based out of Morley, Alberta, west of Calgary.
Bird said he had decided he would not run for re-election in September, and when the job opportunity came up, he leapt at the chance.
