Edmonton mayor and city councillors to be sworn into office – CBC

Council will include four first-time councillors

Edmonton’s new mayor and city council are being officially sworn in Wednesday afternoon at city hall.

The ceremony will include a formal program, performances and an oath made by each council member.

Alberta Chief Justice Ritu Khullar will preside over the oaths and affirmations.

After the ceremony, there will be a brief inaugural meeting in council chambers.
