The Nunatsiavut Government is completing an environmental review of the Nain Wind Micro-Grid Project, under the Nunatsiavut Environmental Protection Act.
Led by Natural Forces and the Nunatsiavut Secretariat (the Proponent), the project plans to build wind turbine(s), battery storage and associated infrastructure in Nain to reduce diesel reliance for electricity generation.

You may also request it by e-mail from the Proponent at (jbyrne@naturalforces.ca), and a paper copy can be requested from your Nunatsiavut Government Community Liaison Officer (CLO).
The Nunatsiavut Government’s Department of Lands and Natural Resources is currently conducting public consultations to gather the views of Nunatsiavummiut regarding the project, as well as Inuit Knowledge about the environment at the site of the project and potential environmental impacts. Comments can be submitted to the CLOs at your Nunatsiavut Government community office. Comments can also be sent via email at environmentalreviews@nunatsiavut.com. Please note that comments received in writing will be made publicly available. Due to the Nunatsiavut Government Elections, the public consultation period has been extended to 90 days. The deadline for public comments is July 18, 2022
