Final LRP I RFQ materials posted

The OPA has posted final materials for the first request for qualifications phase of the Large Renewable Procurement (the LRP I RFQ), including the final LRP I RFQ document, an updated procurement schedule and new Prescribed Forms. The LRP I RFQ has been revised based on the comments received from stakeholders during the draft RFQ comment period. A blackline of the changes (from draft to final) has also been posted. These and all other posted materials are available in the Program Resources section of the LRP website.

The Qualification Submission period begins on July 14, 2014, and the Qualification Submission Deadline will be September 4, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Prevailing Time (EPT). Other important dates relevant to the LRP I RFQ are listed below and found in section 2.2 of the LRP I RFQ:

Deadline for Issuing Addenda to the LRP I RFQ	August 15, 2014
Qualification Submission Deadline	September 4, 2014 3:00 p.m. EPT
Notification of Qualified Applicants	November 4, 2014
Notification of next steps in the procurement process, if any	November 4 – November 11, 2014

The Question and Comment Period for the LRP I RFQ also begins on July 14, 2014, and runs untilAugust 8, 2014. The Question and Comment Period is intended to provide additional clarity on the LRP I RFQ. Interested parties may only submit questions by email to LRP@powerauthority.on.ca. Please include “LRP I RFQ Question and Comment Period” in the subject line of the email. No other form of communication regarding the LRP I RFQ will be accepted by the OPA prior to the Qualification Submission Deadline. Email submissions received during the Question and Comment Period, along with any OPA responses, may be posted on the LRP website without identifying the source of the submission. LRP I RFP Framework posted for review and comment
The LRP I RFP Framework has also been posted for review and comment until August 15, 2014. This document outlines some of the important concepts that are anticipated to form part of the LRP I RFP and is intended to solicit feedback to be considered for the development of the LRP I RFP. Stakeholders may submit comments related to the LRP I RFP Framework by email to LRP@powerauthority.on.ca. More information on the LRP I RFP Framework review period, including feedback forms, can be found on the Stakeholder Engagement page.

A webinar to discuss the LRP I RFP Framework is scheduled for July 29, 2014. The webinar will focus exclusively on the LRP I RFP Framework (questions concerning the LRP I RFQ will not be answered during the webinar and must be submitted by email as indicated above) and participants will be able to ask questions and provide feedback either by phone or on the web.

The OPA also expects to conduct additional focused outreach on the LRP I RFP Framework in advance of releasing a draft LRP I RFP.
