First Nations Bank of Canada Welcomes New Board Members

First Nations Bank of Canada announced the addition of three new members to its Board of Directors as well as a new Chairperson of the Board at the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting on April 3, 2024.
The First Nations Bank of Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Perry Bellegarde as Chairperson of the Board, previously serving as a Director since 2022. Mr. Bellegarde is the former National Chief of the Assembly of First Nations where he successfully served two terms from 2014-2021.
- Davey Bobbish, Executive Director of the Cree Nation Government. With nearly 30 years of experience within the Indigenous public sector, Mr. Bobbish has gained a broad and deep wealth of knowledge in finance and administration through his appointments as Chief Accountant, Director of Finance and Administration and Treasurer in his hometown of Chisasibi.
- David Caldwell, retired at the end of 2023 from Diebold Nixdorf Inc. Prior to retiring, Mr. Caldwell worked previously at D+H, a financial technology provider, and at CIBC World Markets.
- James Salem, Treasurer, and Executive Vice President of Treasury and Balance Sheet Management at TD Bank Group. Prior to joining TD, Mr. Salem had a distinguished 34-year career at RBC culminating as leader of RBC’s Treasury from 2009 until January 2023.
We would also like to thank three retiring Board of Directors for their dedicated service.
