What’s happening on (and off) Parliament Hill, plus the news you need to start your day.
Just days after holding a high-level huddle with senior auto sector executives, Transport Minister Chrystia Freeland will join “key industry leaders, suppliers and governments” at the Made in Canada: Ferries and Rail Summit in Hamilton, Ont.
As per the advisory, the one-day meeting will take place at ArcelorMittal Dofasco headquarters, and will “bring together key industry leaders, suppliers and governments to discuss how, by working together, Canada’s rail and ferry industries will use Canadian steel and aluminum to build,” as well as “unlock more opportunities, build a reliable domestic market for our producers and manufacturers and encourage industry collaboration.”
