The Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) is improving access to training opportunities for Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) as part of its commitment to strengthening the non-profit and charitable sector in the territory.
By creating access to available GNWT trainings, the GNWT aims to support capacity building and organizational development for NGOs that are providing critical services to residents across the territory. Available topics include:
Training formats include online self-study, virtual instructor-led sessions, and in-person workshops. Some courses are free of charge, while others may have associated fees.
This initiative responds directly to a recommendation in the Strengthening the Non-Profit and Charitable Sector report and reflects the GNWT’s ongoing efforts to collaborate across departments to better support the organizations that deliver critical programs and services to residents.
The GNWT will be reaching out to NGOs to share information about available training opportunities.
