Government of Nunavut selected for The Career Directory – Canada’s Best Employers for Recent Graduates

Iqaluit, Nunavut  – For the ninth year in a row, the Government of Nunavut (GN) has been selected as one of Canada’s Top Employers for Recent Graduates. This national recognition highlights the GN’s commitment to creating meaningful, supportive and culturally grounded career paths for emerging professionals beginning their careers.

“We are proud to be recognized as one of Canada’s best employers for recent graduates,” said Human Resources Minister Annie Tattuinee. “This recognition speaks to the inclusive culture we’ve built to help recent graduates gain meaningful early-career experiences and a foothold in a competitive job market. We want them to know that the Nunavut public service is where they can build their careers, develop their skills and create a foundation for success. When we invest in our youth and help them succeed, we strengthen our public service, our communities and the future of Nunavut.”

The GN’s inclusion in the 2026 Career Directory highlights several key initiatives that support early‑career development, including a range of mentorship and leadership development opportunities based on Inuit societal values. These initiatives help reduce barriers to employment and career advancement, with a strong focus on developing leadership capacity while supporting recent graduates as they build meaningful careers in the public service.
