She said the upcoming bill is a “crucial step” to the government’s goal of ensuring that all First Nations communities have “lasting access to safe drinking water.”
Indigenous Services Minister Mandy Gull-Masty says the Liberal government is still planning to introduce a long-promised bill on clean water before the end of the spring sitting.
She told members of the House Indigenous and northern affairs committee on Thursday that she would have more to share about the legislation “very soon.”
