Succeeding in the restaurant industry is a challenge, as many Indigenous entrepreneurs are finding out.

Obstacles can include navigating soaring food prices, high rents and various taxes that rise regularly.

There is also less demand.

A Restaurants Canada survey in September found three quarters of Canadians say they are eating out less, often because of the high cost of living.
