This webinar will explore the current state of Canada’s Indigenous business development to uncover ways to boost economic growth for an inclusive Canadian economy. The panel will discuss effective engagement strategies (for Indigenous and non-Indigenous organizations) and talk about areas for investment and development in a post-COVID world.

Canada’s Indigenous leaders continue to break through the financial ceiling and drive economic prosperity, both for their communities and the country at large. In this webinar, we will learn from these leaders’ experiences and discuss ways to engage with Indigenous businesses to support Canada’s economic growth. The webinar will cover three main topics:

  1. Indigenous Solutions are Canada’s Solutions: The Indigenous Economy and its importance in Canada.
  2. What Indigenous leaders in economic development and investment management are talking about today. How can we be included in this conversation?
  3. Economic development and investment opportunities to build a greener, fairer, prosperous, and more inclusive Canadian economy.

This conversation will be guided by Jay-Ann Gilfoy, CEO of VCIB, and will host three guests with decades of experience and diverse mix of perspective and place in the Indigenous financial eco-system: Carole Anne Hilton, Clint Davis, and Leonard Rickard.

The conversation is in partnership with NationTalk.
