The three day event will welcome representatives from all First Nations in BC (see details in Event Information posted on the AFOABC site). Representatives will engage in a series of dialogues related to plenary sessions on Preparing for Emerging Opportunities and Recognition and Reconciliation of Aboriginal Rights and Title (see Agenda Framework below).
The JOINT GATHERING is co-hosted by the First Nations Leadership Council (comprising the BC Assembly of First Nations, the First Nations Summit and the Union of BC Indian Chiefs) and Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada (AANDC) BC Region. The theme Sharing Successes will provide an opportunity for First Nations to share their experiences with one another and senior government officials to promote partnerships and foster leadership for a sustainable future.
