KIA: Freight Subsidy Amendment

Important update to the Freight Subsidy Program (Harvesters Support Grant – HSG) policy, effective today!

Retroactive Eligibility for Select Purchases:

The Kivalliq Inuit Association (KIA) is pleased to announce if you purchased an ATV, UTV, snowmobile, or outboard motor that was shipped to any Kivalliq Community between April 1, 2023 and March 31, 2024, you may now be eligible for the freight subsidy.

Important Details: *

* This amendment does not apply to boats and trailer costs

* This policy amendment applies retroactively to the specified purchase period

* Eligibility is limited to one item per category (ATV, UTV, snowmobile or outboard motor) per fiscal year

* If you have already received the Freight Subsidy for the 2023-2024 Fiscal Year in one of the categories, you are ineligible for that specified category.
