Law Society of Ontario’s Equity Legal Education Series to deliver dynamic programming lineup in 2022

Toronto, ON — The Law Society of Ontario is pleased to present the 2022 Equity Legal Education Series, featuring 12 programs aimed at promoting awareness, education and discussion among members of the public and the legal professions on the challenges and opportunities for Francophone, Indigenous and equality-seeking communities in law and the legal profession.

The 2022 series will kick off on January 24, 2022, with the Day of the Endangered Lawyer. This program will honour the courage and commitment of lawyers in promoting human rights and upholding the rule of law, while examining the plight of legal professionals and human rights defenders in Colombia and around the world.

The Law Society works in partnerships with legal organizations, diverse community groups, educational institutions and governments to offer the Equity Legal Education Series’ panel discussions, public forums, lectures, seminars and workshops to the legal community; most programs are accredited for Continuing Professional Development hours.
