As the clock ticks down on the summer recess, Liberal MPs are set to descend on Edmonton, Alta., where they’re slated to spend the next three days sequestered in closed-door pre-sitting strategy sessions ahead of what is expected to be a high-stakes fall sitting for Prime Minister Mark Carney’s minority government.
Before joining their fellow Liberals at the venue, a trio of Team Carney front benchers are booked in for an afternoon visit to the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute, a “world-renowned leader in artificial intelligence research,” according to its corporate website.
