Press Release
Jul 30, 2025
LNG Canada advises that a new flaring activity will occur between August 1st until August 31st as part of the start-up of Train 1, String 2.
During this activity, the flare height will vary between 20 metres and 60 metres. We anticipate intermittent visible emissions (black smoke) from the flare.
Flaring is a provincially regulated safety measure that ensures the controlled, efficient combustion of natural gas during specific operational phases. It is a critical part of safely operating a facility of this scale and is not expected to be routine during regular operations.
