A bandolier adorned with thousands of beads roughly 200 years ago. A bag made from the foot of an elk circa 1780. An old cradleboard that once kept a baby warm.
Those pieces are part of a collection of thousands of sacred and cultural items that a group of Indigenous leaders and advocates in Manitoba want to bring home from Switzerland.
