Media Advisory—The Deputy Auditor General of Canada will appear before the Standing Committee on Public Accounts to discuss the audit of the Stanton Territorial Hospital Renewal Project

Ottawa, 8 January 2025—The Deputy Auditor General of Canada, Andrew Hayes, will appear before the Standing Committee on Public Accounts of the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly in Yellowknife on 15 January 2025.

The hearing will focus on the Stanton Territorial Hospital Renewal Project report, which was tabled on 29 October 2024. The hearing will take place on Wednesday, January 15, at 1:00 pm (Yellowknife local time) before the Standing Committee on Public Accounts of the Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly.

Stanton Territorial Hospital Renewal Project. This audit examined whether the departments of Finance, Infrastructure, and Health and Social Services, and the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority delivered on their responsibilities and commitments for the Stanton Territorial Hospital Renewal Project, including whether this project provided good value for money for the government and residents of the Northwest Territories.
