Terry Paul says for too long, Indigenous people have been ‘left on the wharf when the ships go by’
A First Nation chief in Nova Scotia says the federal government’s proposed nation-building projects are a prime opportunity to help improve Indigenous people’s standard of living.
Last week, Prime Minister Mark Carney announced the first list of projects his government will consider for fast-tracking and created an 11-person Indigenous advisory council for the Major Projects Office.
