Minister Rickford to Announce New First Nations Engagement Initiatives

VANCOUVER – The Honourable Greg Rickford, Canada’s Minister of Natural Resources and Minister for the Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario, joined by Garry Reece, Chief of Lax Kw’alaams First Nation and Ryan Leighton, from the Metlakatla First Nation, will announce our government’s latest measures to enhance engagement with First Nations in the development of energy infrastructure.

A brief question and answer period with media will follow Minister Rickford’s announcement. A dial-in number is available for off-site media to listen to the Minister’s remarks.
