NACCA Participates in Team Canada Trade Mission to Australia

Press Release

Ottawa – August 19, 2025 – The National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association (NACCA) is honoured to join the Team Canada Trade Mission to Australia, led by the Honourable Mary Ng, Canada’s Former Minister of Export Promotion, International Trade and Economic Development.

During the mission, NACCA is privileged to participate alongside distinguished Canadian representatives, including Canada’s High Commissioner to New Zealand, His Excellency Keith Smith and other Canadian dignitaries who contributed to forging stronger bilateral trade ties.

This mission is an opportunity to reinforce Canada’s commitment to inclusive growth and elevate Indigenous-led business within global markets, especially the vibrant Australian economy. NACCA participants include Kevin Rose, Director of Programs and Member Services and Mark Dokis, Special Projects Manager.

At NACCA, we are committed to helping Indigenous entrepreneurs succeed. By providing access to financing, business supports, and skills development through the network of more than fifty Indigenous Financial Institutions, we open doors for Indigenous entrepreneurs to grow and thrive.

Today, those opportunities aren’t only in Canada. International trade, procurement, and partnerships create new pathways for Indigenous businesses to expand their reach and showcase their strengths on the world stage.

As a leader in the Indigenous economy, NACCA is proud to stand with our entrepreneurs as they take part in these global opportunities. Our role in this trade mission reflects our commitment to building partnerships, driving innovation, and supporting sustainable growth for Indigenous businesses everywhere.
