Minister reminds critic that Liberals and NDP failed to pass new mining legislation

In the legislature, Yukoners can regularly hear Premier Currie Dixon and his Yukon Party colleagues blame the NDP for the former Liberal government’s decisions, particularly when it comes to the confidence-and-supply agreement that kept the government in power.

However, Riverdale North MLA Carmen Gustafson said her party’s previous agreement with the Liberals and the Yukon Party’s fall election platform shared a commitment in common: to develop new mineral resource legislation.

“I guess we align on something after all,” she said.
