New Aboriginal Business Opportunities in NL – VOCM

A company involved with training for Aboriginal communities in this province and nationwide has signed an agreement that will offer Aboriginal workers access to more jobs and training.

NG Associates, headed up by people from Newfoundland and Labrador, has signed an agreement with Domcor Health, Safety and Security from British Columbia. The President of NG Associates, Howard Nash, says the deal will allow Aboriginal communities to gain access to health, safety and security training and jobs.

Nash says the agreement will provide more new Aboriginal business opportunities in Newfoundland and Labrador and across Canada. Nash says the goal of NG Associates is to work with companies bidding on major crown projects like Muskrat Falls and the 36.5-Billion dollar National Shipbuilding Procurement strategy, and create more opportunities for Aboriginal people in Canada.
