The Northeastern Alberta Aboriginal Business Association (NAABA) has announced its new board of directors following its annual general meeting on October 2.
Founded in 1993 by a small group of local Indigenous entrepreneurs, NAABA was created to strengthen opportunities for Indigenous-owned businesses within the oilsands industry. With early support from Syncrude, Suncor, and Keyano College, the organization has grown from 19 members to a nationally recognized leader in Indigenous business development.
Brandon Whitford joins the board as a new director. A member of the Goodfish Lake First Nation and Manager of Protective Clothing Supplies Ltd., Whitford brings extensive experience in business management and a passion for supporting Indigenous entrepreneurship.
