EDMONTON — An Alberta technology company and an Indigenous-led cooperative say they are forming a partnership aimed at developing carbon-credit projects tied to the province’s oil and gas sector.
Theaus Global Inc. and NorthernNations Cooperative Group announced the strategic alliance Monday, saying the collaboration is intended to expand access to global carbon markets while supporting Indigenous participation in energy-related projects.
The companies say the partnership will focus on developing several types of carbon-credit pathways linked to Alberta’s energy industry.
