Participating businesses asked to display decals on door, point-of-sale terminals

The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce has launched a new initiative it hopes will help support a positive and respectful experience for Indigenous customers when shopping.

The Status Card Welcome initiative is being spearheaded by the chamber’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee.

Ed Collins, first vice chair of the Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce board of directors, said Indigenous customers and the Indigenous economy are essential contributors to Thunder Bay’s prosperity.
